Why is the immune system more vulnerable in winter?

Winter is a time when the body is particularly stressed. Several factors can influence physiological balance and general well-being:

Less sun exposure and lower vitamin D

In winter, reduced sunlight impacts the natural production of vitamin D, which plays an important role in many biological functions, including the normal functioning of the immune system. The immunity spray contains vitamin D3, which can be beneficial when sun exposure is reduced.

Cold and dry air

Winter weather alters the respiratory tract environment. Dry air can affect the comfort of the mucous membranes in the nose and throat, which provide a natural barrier against external aggressions. A good water balance and a suitable diet help maintain good respiratory comfort.

Increased stress and external demands

Winter can be a time of intense stress, with shorter days and a hectic pace of life. Stress can impact the body's overall balance, especially when it's prolonged. Certain practices such as a balanced diet, restful sleep, and good stress management can promote optimal well-being.

Indoor living and close interactions

With the cold weather, we spend more time in enclosed spaces, where interactions between individuals are more frequent. Healthy living, air quality, and a varied diet are all factors that can help maintain physiological balance on a daily basis.

Certain natural solutions can be incorporated into a balanced winter routine. For example, the Immunity Spray, formulated with plant extracts and essential vitamins, is designed to support the body during periods of intense stress!

Composition

Plants

  • Eleutherococcus root extract (Eleutherococcus senticosus): An adaptogenic plant traditionally used to help the body adapt to periods of intense stress. It is naturally rich in eleutherosides, compounds that are being studied for their role in physical and mental endurance and resistance.

  • Extract of aerial parts of purple Echinacea (Echinacea purpurea): A plant traditionally used to support natural defenses and contribute to the proper functioning of the immune system. It contains polysaccharides and other bioactive compounds that are of interest to research for their potential role in maintaining physiological defenses.

  • Thyme leaf extract (Thymus vulgaris): A plant traditionally used for respiratory well-being. Thyme naturally contains thymol and other aromatic compounds that are being researched for their role in respiratory comfort.

Vitamins

  • Vitamin D3: Contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system and the maintenance of normal muscle function. It is involved in the regulation of the immune response and plays a role in the normal absorption of calcium and phosphorus.

  • Vitamin B12: Helps reduce fatigue, supports energy metabolism and participates in the normal formation of red blood cells. It is also involved in the proper functioning of the nervous system.

Other components

  • Water, natural lemon flavor: Provides a pleasant flavor and makes it easier to take.

  • Acidification (citric acid): Stabilizes the pH of the product for better conservation.

  • Preservatives (potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate): Ensure product stability and shelf life by preventing the growth of microorganisms.

  • Vegetable glycerin: Promotes the absorption of active ingredients and helps moisturize the mucous membranes. Vegetable glycerin is a humectant that facilitates the diffusion of active ingredients through the oral mucous membranes, for optimal assimilation.

💡Why are there two preservatives in this formula?

Liquid formulas are naturally more susceptible to microbial contamination than dry forms (tablets, capsules, powders). This is due to their water content, which promotes the proliferation of bacteria, molds, and yeasts in the absence of preservatives. This is why the Energy Boost Spray contains potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate, two preservatives commonly used in liquid formulations and authorized by European regulatory authorities (EFSA). Their use strictly complies with the safe doses defined by regulations, guaranteeing optimal preservation of the product without risk to the consumer.

Une forme galénique très agréable et innovante! Pour ma part, ce produit a été un super booster d’immunité pendant l’hiver. Je l’ai utilisé tout au long de la saison froide et je n’ai pas été malade, même après.
